Swearing in of New Court of Appeal Justices Has Been Postponed Until Further Notice, According to JUSUN.

The inauguration of newly named Justices of the Court of Appeal will not take place as planned due to the current strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN.

The elevated judicial officers were to be inaugurated by Nigeria’s Chief Justice, Tanko Muhammad, on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja.

The inauguration will take place at a later date to be announced

JUSUN’s strike began on April 6 to push the case for the judiciary’s financial independence.
