A Sizzling Night of Fine Dining, Wining & Music at NBA President’s Dinner

The 2019 NBA President’s Dinner at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites was a showcase of sartorial splendor, as conferees, delegates and special guests came in their best outfits. While the men came in well-cut suits or traditional attire, the ladies shimmered in their evening gowns.

One of the attractions of the evenings was the appearance of the President of the International Bar Association, Horacio Bernades Neto, in agbada, with cap to match, to the admiration of all.

The evening’s activities were heralded by a series of musical performances, as the in-house band thrilled the audience to a series of favorite pop and RnB numbers. For the classically-minded, the duo known as Abogados Musicalis (who also performed during the opening ceremony) was on hand to offer an operatic touch to the night.

The speakers on the night – TCCP chairman and co-chair, Gbenga Oyebode, MFR, and Olumide Akpata, respectively, paid tribute to all who helped make the 59th AGC a success. It was a sentiment echoed by NBA President Usoro, as he handed out prizes and awards to a number individuals for their roles and sacrifices in ensuring a hitch-free Conference. A posthumous award – to the late Mr. Emmanuel C. Aguma, the late Attorney-General of Rivers State, who passed on in 2018 – was presented to his son.

After a few more speeches and clarifications by Usoro and other executive members, the rest of the evening was devoted to dancing, exchanges of pleasantries and network, as the curtain is drawn on a most momentous Conference experience in Lagos.
