The senator representing Ebonyi South, Anthony Okorie Ani, has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He assured fellow citizens that the President’s policies would soon begin to yield positive results.
Okorie spoke in Onicha Local Government Area while distributing over 1,000 bags of fertilisers to farmers and 65 motorcycles to youths in his constituency.
The senator stressed that the President means well for the country and expressed confidence that Nigerians would eventually “sing songs of praises” for the President.
He reiterated his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituents, calling for continued support for the current administration.
Ani said the motorcycles he was distributing to youths were meant to ease transportation challenges in the rural areas where vehicles cannot easily access.
“The only way to come out of economic gridlock is to be fully engaged in agriculture. And the only way to boost agriculture is through fertiliser, giving it the manure it requires so that crops would do well,” he said.
The senator also outlined some of the constituency projects he had attracted to the zone, including the construction of five kilometres of road in each of the five local government areas in Ebonyi South Senatorial District and the installation of solar-powered street lights across various communities.
On the essence of giving fertiliser to farmers, he said: “Support to our farmers and economic empowerment of women and youths are necessary. These include the 65 motorcycles that have been given out today. “
