The media space is already saturated with the news of how Mr. Y. C. Maikyau stormed Benin City with a large number of lawyers, to grace the traditional wedding ceremony of the people’s President; the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Olumide Akpata.
It was all pump and pageantry, with several moments of pure joy for all present, particularly the members of the Bar. In addition to sharing in the happiness of the newlyweds, the supporters of Mr. Maikyau could not hide their excitement at the sight of the tall learned Silk.
The current Governor of the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), Sir Uba Anene, JP and the immediate past Governor, Sopriye Long Williams, with Y. C. Maikyau, SAN during the ceremony, sharing a few jokes and laughs which were caught on camera. The picture is a sight to behold – a very presidential moment!
