Oluwo to Fed Govt: heal Igbo civil war wound


The paramount ruler of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has urged the Federal Government to heal the wound of the damages inflicted on ethnic groups, especially the Igbo, during the 1967 civil war.He said there is need to organise a unification conference to assess the destruction of the civil war on the Igbo and provide a palliative capable of promoting long term affinity among ethnic groups.

Oluwo hailed the resilience and magnanimity of the Igbo towards Nigeria, describing the civil war injury as enormous.He said the Igbo are major stakeholders in the country’s technological advancement.
