OCJ Okocha (SAN), MFR, DSSR JP – A Man of his Words. Promise Made, Promise Fulfilled
Sequel to the appeal made by the NBA Port Harcourt Branch Choir through their choir master, Dainma Tamuno – Opubo, Esq on the 15th day of December, 2018, during the Branch Annual Dinner to provide musical instrument such as keyboard, microphones and other accessories for purposes of enhancing the performance of the Branch Choir, the leader of the Port Harcourt Branch as well as the 19th President of of the Nigerian Bar Association, Hon. OCJ Okocha (SAN), MFR, DSSR JP has donated to the Port Harcourt Branch Choir, a Yamaha PSR- 5775 Keyboard, Yamaha keyboard stand, a pair of PROKING A E- 550 microphone and a Mega Sound KB -1500 speaker to and in fulfilment of his promise to the Branch Choir while giving his dinner speech at the NBA Port Harcourt Branch dinner held on the 15th day of December, 2018.
Unveiling the musical instrument, out G. I Abibo (SAN), accompanied by his brother silk, Echezona Etiaba (SAN), the Port Harcourt Branch chairman, Sylvester Adaka, Esq and Cordelia Eke, Esq representing the immediate past Chairman and Secretary of the branch commended the donor for his magnanimity and continued love to the Bar and the Port Harcourt Branch in particular. The donor was represented by his son, Orowhuo Okocha.
In reaction, the NBA Port Harcourt Branch Choir appreciated the Hon. O. C. J Okocha (SAN) MFR DSSR JP for his kind gesture towards them with a song in Ibani (Bonny) Language during the Port Harcourt Branch October general meeting held on the 30th of October, 2019.
