We did not arrest Sanyaolu, says DSS


The Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday, June 13, said it did not arrest the coordinator of the Take It Back Movement, Juwon Sanyaolu.

The director of public relations and strategic communications, DSS national headquarters, Abuja, Dr Peter Afunanya, said this in a tersely worded WhatsApp message.

It reads: “Juwon Sanyaolu, coordinator of the Take It Back movement is not with the DSS. He was NOT invited, arrested, or detained by the Service.”

Sanyaolu was reported to have been arrested by security operatives for a planned protest on Democracy Day.


According to the reports, he was arrested on Tuesday evening.
