We received with dismay, the news of the demise and senseless killing, of our dear sister and colleague Bolanle Raheem. To say it is heart wrenching, is to say the least and has left us all in a state of total shock.

As members of the legal profession, it is our duty to ensure that the rule of law is upheld and to protect the rights and freedom of all citizens. The senseless killing of Bolanle Raheem is a blatant violation of these principles and cannot not be tolerated and the offender must be brought to book.

We are working with the Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch and some other Bar leaders who are meeting with the Commisioner of Police’s office, as directed by the President of the NBA.

We will have more information as the story unfolds, but at this time offer our unreserved condolences to Bolanle’s family. We stand with you at this trying period and pray for Gods strength & grace, as you navigate these dreadful waters.
