NBA Warri Branch, Adopts Y. C. Maikyau

The Warri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has adopted Y.
C. Maikyau, SAN as her candidate for the office of President of the Nigerian Bar Association in the forth coming NBA general elections slated for 16th July, 2022.

The announcement that was received with general applauds was made by the Chairman of the Branch, Chief Emmanuel O. Uti at the General meeting of the Young Lawyers Forum of the Branch that was held on 19th day of June, 2022, at the Customary Court 1, Warri.

Chief Uti who was accompanied to the meeting by some elders and senior Lawyers of the Branch, stated that the Warri Branch that is known to say things as they are, did not find it hard to adopt Y. C. Maikyau, SAN looking at his impeccable years of practice as a Lawyer and all that the NBA Welfare Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN has achieved. He named some of the achievements to include the NBA NHIS Scheme that also made provision for free registration for a good number of Young and very senior Lawyers of the Warri Branch, palliative for Young Lawyers, soft loan for Lawyers to aid their practice, and many more.

Responding on behalf of members of the Young Lawyers Forum, its Chairman, Ayibatare C. Ojukonsin thanked Chief Uti and the elders for finding time to attend the Forum’s meeting and the Branch’s adopting of Y. C. Maikyau, SAN who is also the choice of the Young Lawyers.

Meanwhile, Chief Oghenero Okoro one of the persons that accompanied Chief Uti to the YLF meeting to announce the adoption of Y. C. Maikyau, SAN, is now the Chairman of the Warri Branch of the NBA after the Branch election conducted on 26th June, 2022 and attended by Y. C. Maikyau, SAN.
