The NBA-SBL Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Committee has set aside the dates of October 25 to 27, 2024 for its maiden Tourism Retreat & Roundtable in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
In a statement made available to NEWSWIRE Law Events Magazine, the Committee disclosed that the event, which will take place at the city’s Green Legacy Hotel, will feature a combination of events ranging from scenic tours, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities between legal professionals, stakeholders and enthusiasts in the travel and tourism industry.
The Retreat and Roundtable, which will explore the theme: “Revitalizing the Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Industry: Innovation and Strategies for Sustainable Growth,” is targeted at lawyers, travel, tourism and hospitality enthusiasts, practitioners, and industry stakeholders.
A breakdown of the event programme shows that it will feature the following, among others:
– Train Ride: Attendees will enjoy a scenic train ride to and from Abeokuta, which the Committee describes as a great way to start and end the adventure.
– Roundtable Discussions : Attendees will engage in a series of thought-provoking conversations with industry leaders, captains, enthusiasts and stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry.
– Tourist Activities : Participants will have the opportunity to visit popular landmarks like the iconic Olumo Rock, the Obasanjo Presidential Library, and other tourist attractions in the Ogun State capital.
– Socializing: There will be networking sessions, as well as a closing party to wrap up the event.
The statement informs prospective participants that registration for the event is now open under the following categories:
– Category A – ₦200,000: Full package (single occupancy). This entails accommodation (one in a room); transportation (i.e. train ride from Lagos to Abeokuta and back); intercity transport within Abeokuta; feeding; Roundtable sessions; tourist visits; and closing party.
– Category B – ₦170,000. Full package (double occupancy). This category entails accommodation (two in a room); transportation (train ride from Lagos to Abeokuta and back), intercity transport within Abeokuta; feeding; Roundtable sessions; tourist visits; and closing party.
– Category C – ₦125,000 This entails NO accommodation, but has the following benefits: transportation (train ride from Lagos to Abeokuta and back); intercity transport within Abeokuta; feeding, Roundtable sessions, tourist visits, and closing party.
– Category D – ₦30,000. This entails participation in the Roundtable sessions and closing party only.
In the statement, the Committee disclosed that Early Bird registration, which commenced from September 5, 2024, will last till September 30, 2024. Available slots are limited, however, so registration will close when slots are filled.
