Mr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, a Partner with Tsedaqah Attorneys and a past Secretary of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is billed to speak at the Annual Conference of the NBA Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) taking place in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State from 23 – 26 May 2021.
Mr. Uwanna will be speaking at the seventh session of the Conference on the sub-theme, “Third Party Data Capturing for National Identification Numbers Project: National Security and Privacy Issues.” The session is particularly topical in the light of the recent announcement by the NCC that the President has approved a policy mandating all Nigerians to submit their phone IMEI by July 2021.
Other speakers at the session include Hon. Justice O. O. Ogunbowale as Chairman; the Executive Vice-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Dr Babatunde Irureka; Mr Basil Udotai; Engr Aliyu Aaziz; Mr Monday Onyekachi Ubani and a host of other speakers.
