It will explore blockchain use cases in the area of finance, art & creative industry, real estate, data processing, political governance & elections, commerce & trades, health, agriculture, education etc. It will also discuss blockchain-enabled finance vs traditional financial systems. Technical challenges in blockchain such as scalability/adoption, security, speed, interoperability, consensus/governance, disguised-centralization as well as risks such as fraud, volatility, security, privacy and knowledge gaps in blockchain will also be considered. A multi-jurisdictional perspective on blockchain adoption in selected countries will be given while looking inward on Nigeria’s (and Africa’s) place in blockchain, fintech and tech innovation.
