The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Kingsley Otti, a club bouncer, for allegedly stabbing a suspected hoodlum to death during an altercation at a lounge on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.

Otti reportedly attacked the victim during a confrontation in the club’s car park. The injured man became unconscious and was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The lounge’s manager reported the incident to the Ago-Okota Police Division at about 11:30 a.m. on the same day. Investigators visited both the crime scene and the hospital, where the victim’s body was inspected and photographed before being transferred to the Mainland General Hospital Morgue for an autopsy.

In a related incident, a sex worker, Joy Kelvin, was reported to have fatally stabbed a 48-year-old man named Okafor at Jakande Housing Estate, Lekki, also on Monday.
