Kaduna ALGON threatens court action over alleged purchase of vehicles

The Kaduna State chapter of the Association of Local Government Of Nigeria (ALGON) has threatened to take legal action against one Imrana Wakili for allegedly making false accusations against Governor Uba Sani on his X handle.

According to DAILY POST Imrana had, in a post via his X handle, @iu_wakili, alleged that Governor Uba Sani approved N4.6 billion for the purchase of vehicles for local government chairmen.

However, reacting in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Shehu, ALGON described Imrana’s claims as false and baseless.

It demanded an immediate retraction of the allegation and a public apology, warning that failure to comply with the directive “will leave us with no choice but to initiate legal proceedings within seven days”.

ALGON said Sani has consistently prioritized fiscal discipline and cost-cutting measures since assuming office.

According to the statement, “The referenced document is a fabrication, clearly intended to mislead the public and serve as clickbait for malicious individuals seeking attention and attempting to undermine the governor’s administration.”

The association warned those spreading mischievous and misleading information to desist from such acts.
