The killing of Eastern Security Network (ESN) leader has been verified by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The announcement came with a threat to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma

Security forces killed ESN Commander Ikonso and six other operatives in a joint operation on Saturday.
IPOB is being blamed by the authorities for a series of assaults on defense installations.

In a tweet, IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful said the group headed by Nnamdi Kanu was enraged by Saturday’s “unprovoked assault.”

He said the ESN operatives were gunned down by a joint security force made up of army, police, and DSS operatives, with the help of the Imo State Government, at Oguta junction in Mgbidi, along the Owerri-Onitsha expressway.

The killing of “heroic innocent Biafrans defending our villages and towns from Fulani terrorists herdsmen masquerading as cattle herders in cold blood” is “extremely traumatic,” according to Strong.

“Uzodima killed Ikonso after he turned down his offer to lead the Ebubeagu ghost security outfit, which was founded by southeast governors.
Uzodima has attempted but failed, to entice ESN operatives to EBUBEAGU.

“After making enticing concessions to them that were rejected, he resorted to killing these valiant heroes who swore never to betray Biafra.

“Hope Uzodinma dispatched a large number of emissaries to implore Ikonso and other ESN officers to join the EBUBEAGU police force.
As a result of their failure to betray the movement for Biafra and our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the hopeless governor has mobilized joint security forces to target them today.

“Contrary to claims by the cowardly security forces who flee from terrorists but kill innocent citizens, they were not able to penetrate into the camp of Eastern Security Network ESN. They only ambushed Ikonso but we promise them hell for this cowardly act!

“Hope Uzodima has murdered sleep, so he should be ready to stay awake! FULANI terrorists pretending as cattle sellers in Enugu destroyed Police van and attacked Government officials on lawful duty with AK-47 but no Army, police or DSS attacked them till now.

“But ESN operatives defending our communities against the terrorists are being hunted like games every day. The world has kept quiet over this atrocity until we begin our own madness.

They threatened, “Hope Uzodinma, just as the body of Ikonso was paraded by Fulani Jihadists in the Nigerian police and army, so shall it be your portion one day.”
