The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) partners with the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos State Branch to train 100 Lawyers in Mediation Skills. The Accreditation and Certification training of the first 50 participants took place between the 1st and 4th August 2022 at the offices of Babalakin and Co, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

In his opening remarks, the President of the Institute congratulated participants for embracing mediation training, and commended the leadership of the NBA, Lagos Branch for availing participants the opportunity to receive the training at a discounted rate. He stated that this Initiative was part of the Institute’s desire to deliver mediation skills and accreditation training to lawyers through the various NBA branches. He called on other NBA branches to partner with the Institute in this regard.

The Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee (CLE) of the NBA Lagos Branch, Mr. Olumayowa Owolabi while appreciating the ICMC, acknowledged that this training was a game changer being the first of its kind. He applauded the first set of Participants who were present for the training, while urging other Lawyers to take advantage of the opportunity by registering for the second batch of the training that will be held in mid October.
