Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

YC Maikyau’s birthday truly slapped. It’s absolutely amazing. YC Maikyau was everywhere. The wishes, prayers and support were massive. They flooded our timelines on Facebook and Twitter and occupied our WhatsApp statuses. Yesterday, YC Maikyau has become a legend in his lifetime.

I know it’s too much to take in. It’s unbelievable. Everybody was talking about YC Maikyau to the extent that even he himself couldn’t believe it. He said:

“The kind words left me wondering if they were actually about me; I sure don’t deserve all the encomiums save for the grace of God and the benevolence of your kind hearts. I say thank you all. I do not, will not take it for granted and I owe you a debt of gratitude.

All the good things people said about YC Maikyau yesterday weren’t and aren’t unusual. Truth be told, if nothing else, they have been watered down. You can verify that from his activities of yesterday. The pictures are in the public domain.

While family, friends and well-wishers were busy showering blessings on him, YC Maikyau was busy rendering charitable and philanthropic services to the poor, orphans in his home State of Kebbi.

Yesterday, in the morning, YC Maikyau went to an orphanage in Birnin Kebbi, the State capital. He made donations to them. He also sang and played with them. They thanked and prayed for him as he left.

A few months ago, YC Maikyau had channelled a lot of money meant for his 10th anniversary as a senior advocate of Nigeria to help and provide decent accommodations for internally displaced persons.

By the time YC Maikyau went back home, it was dark already. He’s exhausted. It had been a hectic day for him. He sat down, on a couch, in his sitting room, and brought out his phone to see what was happening online. It’s massive. It’s well wishes, praises, testimonies of good character and prayers for him everywhere. YC couldn’t believe it. He’s short of words. He just said, ‘my joy knows no bounds!’

YC Maikyau, SAN has come a long way. And it’s always been God’s grace that takes him there. He’s in the prayers of good people who no curtains stand between their prayers and God. YC Maikyau is a passenger in the cab of God’s grace. And you can see that from his track record.

Thank you for reading. My name is Sani Ammani. It pleases me to read, comforts me to write and delights me to talk. And I say, Allah mana Maikyau.
