I have seen and read several news report credited to Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, , hinting of plans of the federal government to regulate the drilling of boreholes for potable water in municipal and urban centres across the country.
Let it be known to Nigerians that the Federal Government do not have the power under the laws of Nigeria to regulate boreholes.
It is not the Federal Government business to know where the boreholes are just like it is not her prerogative to give permit for drilling boreholes. Nigerians must not fall for the sweet talk of wanting a national safety code and guidelines so that hydrological services will have all the data it needs
I see that the minister and his co travellers have not given up on the satanic Water Resources Bill and consequently I call on well meaning Nigerians particularly the civil society and the Nigerian youths to be ready to attend any sitting on the bill when it is called up . I urge them not to lose guard so that this evil bill that has been reject twice does not succeed this third time .

I refer the minister to the exclusive and concurrent legislative list of the Nigerian constitution and state categorically that the National Assembly will be acting ultra vires to pass such an obnoxious bill into law because the National Water Resources Bill is illegal and unconstitutional.
