Prof Yetunde Makinde, wife of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof Kayode Makinde, is dead.
Professor Makinde, aged 69, reportedly died on November 21 after a brief illness.
The Professor of Nutrition who hailed from Iperu Remo in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State was the Director of Babcock Ventures before his death.
Samuel Daniyan while mourning the exit of the deceased said “I have known Professor Yetunde Makinde for more than fifty years, since the days when we were fellow students at the campus of Adventist College of West Africa, now Babcock University.
She had always been one of the most reliable individuals.
Adejare Adeniran wrote “anyone who knew Mrs. Yetunde Makinde cannot but remember her gentle smile always. It’s a pity that the Lord called her home at this time. May the joy of the good times you had together while she was here with us, and the thought that we shall one day meet to part no more.
Olukayode Oke, in his condolence message, said, “Rest in perfect peace ma; you’ve been so caring, peaceful and kind to us. May God grant you eternal rest. We all miss you.”
A memorial website has been created in memory of the late seasoned administrator and academician.
