The police prosecutor, Inspector Johnson Okunade, had told the court that the convict committed the crime  on November 22 at about 10:00 a.m. at Orere Owu Area in Ado-Ekiti.

Mr Okunade said that the convict went to a place where people were  charging their phones, entered into the place and unplugged one of the phones, Infinix Smart, valued  N35,000 belonging to Ayodele Akinyemi.

He said it was the complainant that apprehended him, after he had stolen the phone and was taken to the police station.
