EDE ASENOGUAN: A MAN OF LIMB AND SINEW; WHOSE GOOD DEEDS COLLOSALLY OUTWEIGHS HIS PERCIEVED EVILS.

Ede Asenoguan; a founding father of the National Young Lawyers Forum of the NBA.
A Former Secretary and Chairman of the NBA Benin Branch, a name to be reckoned with by any progressive.

As Secretary of Benin Branch, he brought secretarial advancement and exhibited profound zest to duty, while working under the Chairmanship of Chief Razak Isenalumhe (the Vicar and father of modern NBA Benin “my opinion”). It was during this period that the Benin Branch had functional official vehicles, proper accounting system, few deaths at the Bar owing to proper welfare of members.

On the eve of the expiration of his tenure as Chairman of Benin Branch, I asked Ede Asenoguan a question, to wit,

“MR. EDE, AFTER YOU WILL THERE BE ANOTHER BRANCH CHAIRMAN IN BENIN BRANCH?”

That question like the literatus will say was a rhetorical one, a synecdoche to eulogise his many achievements which at that time crossed far horizons and fathomless oceans in the basins of achievements.

No doubt as a Branch Chairman, Ede Asenoguan was distinguished amongst distinguished, and preeminent amongst preeminents.
With the starry heavens above me and in all modesty, he was the Rara-avis of the Branch.

The news that Ede Asenoguan had indicated interest to contest for the office General Secretary of the NBA is good news to the Bar, and there was jubilation all around Nigeria, like the jubilation in Kano, in Karl Maier’s Magnus opus titled “This House Has Fallen, Nigeria in Crisis” when it was said in page 152 of that book thus “when the colonists came to Kano, the people jubilated, there was a song the women used to sing” Nasara ka dade ba ka Zoba, ko ba hau dokin hawainiya ne? white man you took so long to come, is your horse a chameleon?”

No doubt Ede Asenoguan is not a Colonialists, but his agenda for the National Secretarial is worth the jubilation. Ede Asenoguan, has the requisite Secretariat Experience being a past Secretary of the Benin Branch. He is prepared for the task, I believe he should be encouraged by all.
