Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy, has warned an impersonator operating a fake account in his name on X (formerly Twitter).
The account, using the handle #Donnjazzy, had adopted his name and photograph and recently posted a message urging users to engage, claiming it was part of a giveaway.
In a post on his verified X account on Saturday, Don Jazzy replied to the post cautioning the individual behind the account to desist from misleading the public.
He wrote, “Good evening sir/ma. Don’t you see how using my name and image on this account looks dodgy? You can do your giveaways with your own name and pic if you really want to help people. Don’t say they are bullying you if you get arrested o. I come in peace.”
The producer also hinted that the impersonator could face legal consequences if the activity continues.
