Court Remands Businessman in Prison for ‘Cloning SON’s logo
Justice Saliu Saidu of a Federal High Court in Lagos has remanded a businessman, Nonso Udoye, in prison for allegedly cloning the logo of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) in a bid to perpetrate fraud.
The order was sequel to Udoye’s arraignment before the court by SON’s Investigation and Compliance Department on a15-count charge of forging and counterfeiting the regulatory body’s logo.
The businessman however denied the offence upon his arraignment.
Justice Saidu while adjourning the matter to March 23 for trial ordered that the accused person be remanded in prison pending the hearing of his bail application.
