Christmas Greetings from Adebola Lema
Good morning learned Silks, Benchers, Elders, Leaders, Seniors and Colleagues.
Permit me to use this opportunity to thank you for your invaluable professional supports and kind hands of fellowship in the year 2018.
This is the season of Christmas and I must say: Compliments of the season to you my (professional) family members. We have more than enough reasons to thank God, in particular, for sparing our lives till date. I pray that the new year will usher-in the best for us all as a unit and individually together with our families, by the grace of God. Amen
This season of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, is a happy time of fellowship for all mankind. There is usually so much to eat and drink, numerous carols and end of year parties to attend but in all of these, we must thank God and spare a thought for the country he has given us.
We must also pray for the souls of the departed *both civilian and military personnel while also praying for our gallant soldier in the North East, North West and by extension the entire country.
I particularly pray for the souls of our departed leaders, elders, seniors and colleagues, to wit: Pa. Olatunji Fortunatus Gomez, Sir. Emmanuel Ofulue, Rose Agbo, Mr. John Osigala, Mr. Debe Ojukwu, P. U. Nnaji and Mrs. Cynthia Awharitoma Eyube whilst also praying to God to continue to grant the families and the NBA Lagos Branch the fortitude to bear these losses* Amen
As we look forward to year 2019 let us pray that Nigerians and Nigeria will permanently overcome the perennial challenges of Boko Haram, armed banditry, kidnappings, ritual killings, politically motivated killings etc.
We must as a people and leaders in our various rights spare a thought and prayer for the 2019 General Elections as well as the good of our noble association, the NBA.
Thank you all. I will meet you in the new year.
Adebola Olarotimi Lema, Former Secretary NBA Lagos Branch (2014-2015)
