The Bende Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State has reportedly been attacked by gunmen.
Our correspondent learned that the attack occurred on Wednesday night.
It was revealed that a police officer was shot in the leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The hoodlums are also said to have destroyed the police station and released several inmates.
