The 16th Annual Conference of Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Business Law, held at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, came to a close in a shower of lights with a blowout party featuring a musical extravaganza and a seemingly endless array of sumptuous delicacies, choice drinks and wines.
As reported by NEWSWIRE Law and Events Magazine’s correspondent in Abuja, it was remarkably devoid of speechmaking (after the two days or so of intense discourses on the nation’s business law environment) and big on networking and reconnecting among old friends and acquaintances, against the backdrop of old-school classics and contemporary dance-hall favorites.
It was also a memorable evening for Rotimi Ogunyemi, the current Chair of the NBA-SBL’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as he bagged the 2022 edition of the Taire Yeri Award for his dedication and commitment to the success of the SBL – especially in respect to its interventions in the tech space. Ogunyemi, who is the co-founder and President of Spindlar Cyberlaw Centre, is the sixth winner of the Award – after Theodora Kio-Lawson and Endurance Uhumuavbi.
