My attention have been drawn to the arrest of three lawyers who were reportedly preparing to file court processes for their client in Port Harcourt, Rivers State by Policemen
From what I gathered , the lawyers were said to be preparing petitions against the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the just concluded governorship election in Rivers State when there were picked on Friday night at the hotel they were lodging without any reason and taken into custody .

As long as Nigeria is running a democratic government and not a totalitarian government I condemn the arrest in the strongest term possible and consequently call on the President Buhari and the Inspector general of police to order for the immediate release of the lawyers . The police has overstepped it’s bounds . The police must stop being partisan . They must be neutral at all times because they are being funded with tax payers money
