APPRECIATION TO NBA LAGOS BRANCH BY CHUKWUEMEKA MBAMALA, FORMER ASSISTANT NATIONAL PUBLICITY SECRETARY NBA

As a former Assistant National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), I wish to use this medium to express my profound gratitude to the Ikechukwu Uwanna-led executive committee of the NBA Lagos Branch (deservedly known as the Premier Bar, not just in Nigeria, but in all of Africa) for their gesture of magnanimity on the invitation and reception I received during the Exco’s last monthly meeting held at the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School.

It was especially gratifying for me to discover that I was still a familiar feature on the collective memories of a number of my colleagues as a former national officer. The Chairman was his usual gracious self as he gave me a most warm welcome on behalf of his Exco.

The atmosphere went a long way to eradicate the unpleasant memories of my time as a student at the Law School – such as when I picked out a ‘no’ ballot in respect of accommodation allocations at the school. Coming back to the school after all these year was always going to be a bittersweet experience for me, but the Lagos Branch made it an altogether pleasant experience for me. I felt like royalty.

  • Thank you, Lagos Bar Exco!
  • Thank you, Mr. Uwanna.
  • God bless the Nigerian Bar Association.
  • Mbamala.
