2019 NBA AGC: Asst. Publicity Sec. of NBA, Habeeb Lawal, Muiz Banire, Kazeem Adeniji, Others Worship at Lagos Central Mosque
As part of activities marking the opening of the 59th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the association’s assistant publicity secretary, Habeeb Lawal, worshipped at a special Muslim service at the Lagos Central Mosque.
The NBA Asst. Publicity Secretary was accompanied at the service by other key NBA officials, among them Dr. Muiz Banire (SAN), former Lagos State Attorney-General, Kazeem Adeniji (SAN), Tunde Busari (SAN), Dele Belgore (SAN), Chairman of the Lagos Bar, Yemi Akangbe, President of Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria, Prof. Adeleke, Tijjani Borodo, as well as other leading lawyers.
The prayer which was led by the Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh (Engr.) Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla.
Sheikh Abu-Nolla congratulated the Nigerian Bar Association for being in the forefront of the peaceful and commendable struggle to actualise the adherent of the rule of law in Nigeria by our leaders.
He encouraged lawyers, most especially the muslims to take advantage of the contents and topics of the conference to better the problems and issues that affect the entire country.
“I must really commend NBA conference planning committee for the quality of work put forth in this year’s conference. It is another good beginning,” he said.
The 2019 Conference, which opens Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos under the theme: “Facing The Future,” will attract a galaxy of distinguished speakers from across the globe, who will conduct discussion during this year’s forty conference sessions.
