As we count down to the forthcoming conference, the Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom has expressed optimism that the 2017 AFBA Conference would attract thousands of visitors to the state.
Speaking through his Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor said, “We are hosting high-profile conferences to attract thousands of people to the state so that they can witness the ambience, security and beauty of Port Harcourt the Garden City.”
“Our visitors,” the governor continued, “will understand that whatever stories they’ve heard about the State are false. We are ready to host this African event in order to prove to the world the peaceful nature of Rivers State.”
According to Nwakaudu, the governor charged members of the Local Organising Committee to put in their best in the interest of the law profession and also ensure that the Conference turned out to be the best in AFBA’s history.
