Plateau Killings: Security Agencies, Intelligence Units and Heads of our Security Outfits must be Held Accountable
The killings in some parts of Plateau State is most despicable and wicked act by all standard and should be strongly condemned. Safety of life and property is no longer guaranteed and protected. It appears to be taking almost forever to bring perpetrators of these dastardly and senseless acts to justice while citizens are left defenceless.
The government at all level whether state or federal, must take a decisive action now.
We must all condemn any act of violence and injustice irrespective of the part of the country it is committed whether East, West, North or South.
It was Martin Niemöller who said:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Security agencies, Intelligence Units and heads of our security outfits must be held accountable and if need be, those found complacent should be relieved of their positions. The time to act is now and we must do this for posterity and genuine peace without which democracy and governance will make no meaning.
