Transition, Transformation and Sustainable Institutions
#NBA2018AGC: THE PLANNING OF A SPECTACULAR CONFERENCE
The TCCP has been entrusted with this year’s conference theme; “Transition, Transformation and Sustainable Institutions,” believing that the discussions arising from this theme will engage the minds of all lawyers in the face of the leadership transitions across the continent of Africa particularly transitions in the NBA Leadership and the 2019 National Elections, amongst others.
Also building from last year’s conference theme: “African Business Penetrating through Institution Building”, the NBA2018AGC will further discussions on how best our institutions can be sustained in the light of global transformation.
The theme this year also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly as it concerns building inclusive and peaceful societies. More importantly, it is imperative for legal practitioners to adopt creative thinking in their roles and responsibilities as it concerns the successful transition and development of the nation’s machinery of government, political and socio-economic institutions. The conference thus hopes to build on the successes of the 2017 conference by generating viable and workable alternatives that result in the development of institutions that have embedded capacity for self-correction and will transcend generations.
