NBA Electoral Register: Lagos Bar Chairman Calls for List of Members who Have Paid BPF & BD Dues
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!
Distinguished Members,
I wish to inform you that the Electoral Committee of the NBA (ECNBA) requested for the list of Members of our Branch who had paid their Bar Practicsing Fee (BPF) and Branch Dues (BD) as at 31st of March, 2020, over 6 weeks ago. We were unable to compile same due to the lockdown in Lagos State. Being aware of the supervening event that led to the ECNBA has given an opportunity to our Branch (by way of an extended period) to send its list of MEMBERS who had paid their BPF and BD by the 31st of March 2020 to the ECNBA by Tuesday, the 12th of May, 2020.
Accordingly, the Branch has commenced the process of compiling the list of Members and wishes to send same to the ECNBA before the deadline, in order to avoid Members of the Branch being disenfranchised in the forthcoming National Election scheduled for July, this year.
We therefore call on Members who HAD PAID THEIR BPF AND BD BY THE 31ST OF MARCH 2020 BUT ARE YET TO SUBMIT THEIR EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT TO THE BRANCH, TO PLEASE PROVIDE EITHER:
A) A SCANNED COPY OF THEIR EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT(AS WELL AS DATE OF PAYMENT, in order to assist us, in the event that the date on the scanned copy is not legible)
OR
B) DATE OF PAYMENT AND THE SPECIFIC BANK THE PAYMENT WAS MADE TO:

Please note that the EXCO took the decision that this exercise be carried out via email rather than Members physically coming to the Secretariat in view of the small size of the Secretariat and in compliance with NCDC and Lagos State Government’s directive on over crowding as part of the means of preventing the spread of the novel COVID 19.
The Exco would be very grateful if members can send in the emails as soon as possible so that the compilation can be concluded without further delay, as we are mindful of the fact that time is of the essence, given the fact that the task of the ECNBA is time restricted. We urge all Members to take this seriously, as this is a vital step in having a SAY in who leads our prestigious Association for 2 year period, starting August this year.
NB: please note further that Members who have ALREADY SUBMITTED THEIR TELLERS AND OBTAINED RECEIPTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO SEND AN EMAIL.
