Man Kills In-law over N30,000 Debt
A man Segun Ojo who reportedly killed his brother in-law Sunday Oluwadare with a log of wood over a disagreement on the payment of N30,000 debt in Akure, the Ondo state capital has been apprehended by the police.
Report gathered that the ugly incident occurred at Adebowale area of the Akure metropolis.
The disagreement was said to have resulted into a fisticuffs.
The suspect after receiving a thorough beaten from the deceased went for a log and hit him on the head.
A source said that he died before he could be rushed to the state specialist hospital in Akure.
Contacted, the state police image maker Femi Joseph said the suspect was in police custody while investigation had commenced.
According to him the suspect allegedly hit the deceased with a big stick on the head following a hot argument that ensued between them.
“Sunday was rushed to the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Akure, but gave up the ghost on the way to the hospital.”
Joseph said: “We can confirmed the incident and the arrest of the suspect, he is with us and we have commenced investigation into the matter.”
