OBINNA OKEREKE ESQ, LL.M (NOTARY PUBLIC) DECLARES TO RUN FOR OFFICE OF SECRETARY NIGERIA BAR ASSOCIATION LAGOS BRANCH ELECTION 2019
Obinna Okereke Esq has declared his intention to run for office of Secretary of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch on Thursday 16th May, 2019. Below are excerpts of his formal declaration to run as a competent and experienced active member of the Premier Bar for office of Secretary;
Distinguished Learned Silks, Benchers, eminent seniors and noble learned colleagues, I am humbled and elated to announce to you that in continuity of noble service which is in the general interest of our esteemed Lagos Branch of NBA that I Obinna Nnaemeka Okereke Esq, LL.M, (Notary Public) hereby declare to run for office of Secretary in the 2019 NBA Election.
I, have over the years actively worked closely with successive Executives of the Branch to ensure continuity of good and quality leadership of the Premier Bar.
Needless to say, that I have served as Secretary of Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON) shortly after call to Bar and serving as President of Law school Branch of the Christian Lawyers body. I also served as National Financial Secretary and South West Regional Coordinator of Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria.
MY MANIFESTOES AND STRATEGIC AGENDA:
My first commitment is to build a robust and vibrant secretariat that regularly communicates with members and ensure updated database to enable every member receive circulars, correspondences and reports on their emails.
Secondly, I would work with the Executive to engage the Chief Judge of Federal High Court Lagos to ensure ease of filing court processes at the court.
Thirdly, I would also work with the Executive to humbly engage the Chief Judge of Lagos State on improving the services of Court Bailiffs and Sheriffs in service of court processes.
It is also my commitment to facilitate ease of securing job placement for Young Lawyers in search of jobs by developing a database of various Law firms that have job vacancies at every given time.
I, Obinna Okereke Esq, LL.M, if elected Secretary of our esteemed Lagos Branch in NBA Election scheduled for 28th June, 2019 would do more than above stated agenda in best interest of the Branch. Thank you and God bless us all.
